Sales & Marketing Assistant

Working within the framework of the bi-annual seasonal lingerie sales and marketing cycles. Supporting the sales and marketing departments with an emphasis on customer service, social media and admin, reporting to the Sales & Merchandising Manager and PR & Marketing Manager. Ultimately responsible for optimising sales opportunities and promoting product visibility.

The sales and marketing assistant will have the primary responsibility of being the first point of contact for customers, and as such, must possess a helpful and confident manner with an understanding of bra fitting. The role will also cover an exciting variety of other tasks which will require an excellent level of organisational and prioritisation skills, and a proactive attitude.

There may be opportunity for increased weekly hours with company growth.

 

DUTIES

  • Timely and effective customer service across email, phone, and social media platforms;
  • Social media admin - interactions with followers, networking, handling direct messages, scheduling posts;
  • In-house social media imagery and video content creation;
  • Data collation and running reports for manager’s monthly presentations;
  • Research and development projects, presented to the team;
  • Keeping an up-to-date contacts book of sales and marketing contacts and industry leads;
  • Responding to press loan requests & facilitating returns;
  • Creation of a press sample tracking spreadsheet to keep accurate inventory and easily locate missing/late loaned items;
  • Maintaining good condition of press/sales samples;
  • Keeping the showroom space and stock/samples organised and tidy;
  • Preparing the showroom for private customer, buyer, or press appointments and assisting throughout;
  • Basic photography editing;
  • Basic website updates;
  • Order fulfilment - picking, packing and shipping;
  • Coordinating influencer and press gifting;
  • Logistics for sales and marketing related shipments;
  • Advertising for and interviewing potential interns, providing induction and necessary training;
  • Assisting with the organisation and running of sales, press and marketing events, and photo shoots;
  • Ad-hoc admin duties and errands.
 
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & VALUES
 
  • Business/marketing (or similar) degree - Fashion specialism desirable;
  • Customer service experience;
  • Bra fitting knowledge;
  • Experience with social media platforms, Adobe Creative suite, Google Docs & Sheets;
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills;
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills;
  • Ability to find solutions for and overcome issues as they arise;
  • Proactive attitude;
  • Advocate for sustainability.
  
Contract: Part-time, permanent — 3 days per week (35 hour working week)
Location: Hackney, London (some flexible home working permitted)
Salary: £20,000-£22,000 pro rata (based on your skills and experience) + benefits 
Start date: Immediate / ASAP

Product Developer/Junior Product Developer (doe)

Working within the framework of the bi-annual seasonal lingerie design and production cycles. Responsible for seasonal product development, accurate administration and archiving of all development work, reporting to and working in conjunction with the Senior Product Developer & Technical Designer / Interim Lead Product Developer. Ultimately responsible for developing garments from sketch through to production stage.

The Product Developer/Junior Product Developer will have the responsibility of bringing the Creative Director’s designs to life, and as such, must possess an excellent knowledge of lingerie construction and pattern cutting, with strong technical skills. The role will also cover a variety of research and admin tasks which will require an excellent level of organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail.

We are open to applications from recent graduates as well as those with more industry experience. One year fixed term contract.

 

DUTIES

  • Trend, product & competitor research;
  • Fabric and trim sourcing;
  • Ordering and organisation of seasonal lab-dips, hangers and fabric developments;
  • Sample components & embroidery development;
  • Component cost negotiation;
  • Maintaining and updating the ‘suppliers’, ‘raw materials’ and ‘product costing’ areas of the Zedonk system as and when required;
  • Organisation of pattern and grading archive, sample archive and general studio maintenance;
  • Pattern cutting - new developments and alterations to existing styles and ensure all patterns are accurately copied and prepared for production to a high standard (assisting if junior);
  • Pattern grading (assisting if junior);
  • Toiling and sample making, including design/sales samples;
  • Factory sampling ordering and tracking;
  • Visits to factory during sampling;
  • Sample fittings;
  • Communicating with factories and in-house machinists throughout sampling and production run to assist with technical queries;
  • Component usages/yields for new and existing garments;
  • Technical CAD drawings;
  • Accurate Technical specification component list and measurements for sampling and production;
  • Follow a strict development and production critical path, working to deadlines and provide weekly updates on progress to line manager;
  • Providing induction and necessary training for Interns;
  • Logistics for product development related shipments;
  • Ad-hoc admin duties and errands.
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & VALUES
 
  • Fashion Design Technology (or similar) qualification - Fashion Contour specialism desirable;
  • Good lingerie pattern cutting and grading (manual) skills;
  • Experience with Adobe Creative suite, Google Docs & Sheets;
  • Good CAD skills;
  • Strong eye for detail;
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills;
  • Ability to find solutions for and overcome issues as they arise;
  • Proactive attitude;
  • Advocate for sustainability.

  

Contract: One year fixed term, full-time (35 hour working week)
Location: Hackney, London (some flexible home working permitted)
Salary: £20,000-£25,000 (based on your skills and experience) + benefits 
Start date: between 14th-21st March 2022

Design & Production Intern - February 2022 Start

We offer internships to degree students on placement year (min 4 months) on a part-time or full-time basis (minimum of 3 days per week).
As part of a small team, our interns will get a great insight into running a small, fast-growing fashion brand, assisting the design and production team in some of the following areas:
  • Garment cutting and sewing
  • Pattern cutting and grading
  • Sample making
  • Garment fitting
  • Quality control
  • Compiling/updating tech packs
  • Fabric yields and garment costing
  • Sourcing
  • Assisting with events and shoots
  • General studio upkeep and admin


We are looking for students with the following qualities:
