A contemporary twist on the outlandish trends of the 1970s, the SS22 ‘Revival’ collection celebrated the decade’s radical style and glamour and marked five years of Studio Pia.
MOODBOARD
Seasonal embroideries drew inspiration from the era’s fashion and interiors, featuring bold geometric shapes and intricate natural forms inspired by wallpaper prints, Forster Willi & Co archive 1970s embroidery and designer Gabriella Crespi.
A colour palette of luxurious peace silk in vibrant tones, including a rich new Amber hue, seamlessly weaved the collection together.
The Ranges
Gabriella
Drawing inspiration from the wicker works of Italian designer Gabriella Crespi, Gabriella’s seasonal embroidery decorates your body with intricate natural shapes, framing every curve.
Contrasted with Mulberry purple peace silk, Gabriella celebrates 70s glamour.
Aretha
Named after the Queen of Soul and fashion icon Aretha Franklin, the Aretha range is a love letter to the 1970s and Aretha’s joyful and vibrant approach to dressing.
Aretha’s bold and playful design draws inspiration from Forster Willi & Co archive 1970s embroidery, featuring geometric shapes in warm tones on a recycled tulle base. Familiar styles and daring shapes are elevated with scarlet cruelty-free peace silk for a fun retro look.
Liana
Our iconic Liana range was part of our Debut ‘Jungle’ Collection and was revived to celebrate five incredible years of Studio Pia
Inspired by the art works of impressionist painter, Henri Rousseau, delicate tulle is embroidered with vibrant vine and florals, enveloping your body and giving glimpses of skin below. Paired with daring shapes and vibrant chartreuse criss-crossing peace silk, the Liana range is truly deserving of it’s cult-like status amongst lingerie lovers.
Petra
SS22 saw our signature Petra range revived in our new luxurious Amber shade, inspired by the earthy tones found in 70's interiors. The Petra Longline Bra and Bodysuit was updated, featuring a new moulded cups for improved fit, allowing you to wear your preferred style completely strapless.
CLEA
Our iconic range was revived in our signature scarlet shade, first launched in SS19 as part of our Boudin collection
